I’m Michael, a food lover who enjoys discovering great places to eat, from hidden gems and neighbourhood favourites to restaurants worth making a special trip for. Michael’s Table is where I share my honest thoughts and experiences from the places I visit.
I’m not here to tell you what you should like. I’m here to give you a genuine insight into what a place is like, what’s worth ordering and whether I think it’s worth a visit so you can decide for yourself where to eat next.

No. Ratings are completely independent and any ratings are my own personal opinion.
Can businesses pay to be included in rankings?
No. Rankings and recommendations are not for sale.
Can I ask for a review to be removed?
Generally no. Reviews represent genuine experiences and opinions. However, factual inaccuracies will be corrected when verified.
Can I invite you to visit my venue?
Yes. Invitations may be considered, but acceptance does not guarantee a review or favourable coverage.
Can I request a correction to a review?
Yes. If you believe a factual error exists, please contact me with supporting information.
Can I respond to a review?
Yes. Businesses are welcome to contact me if they would like to provide clarification or additional information.
Do you pay for your own meals and experiences?
In almost all cases, yes. I pay the standard public price for food, drinks, accommodation, attractions, and other experiences. Any time that this does not apply it will be clearly stated in the review.
Do you revisit venues?
Yes. Revisited venues and updated reviews are clearly identified.
How can I get my venue reviewed?
You can suggest a venue through the contact page, but there is no guarantee that it will be reviewed.
How do you choose which venues to review?
Venues are selected based on personal interest, recommendations from readers, travel plans, and places I discover during my travels.
Why isn't my favourite venue included?
I may not have visited it yet, or it may not have met the criteria for inclusion. If you have a suggestion for me to visit please let me know!
